Most people trying to learn Claude have no idea where to start, and they waste weeks bouncing between random tutorials. If you want a real learning path through the free Claude courses, this is for you. There is a genuine catalog here, from a total beginner track to deep dives on Claude Code, Cowork, MCP, and agent skills, and the smart move is picking the ones that match what you actually want to build. Start with the foundations
If you are new, Claude 101 plus an AI-foundations course give you the base to build on.
Everyone starts somewhere, and if you do not know much about Claude yet, Claude 101 is the natural launch point. Pair it with the course on the frameworks and foundations of how AI systems work, and you have a base that makes everything after it easier.
What I found useful is treating these two as a single starting block rather than isolated lessons. The foundation course explains why the models behave the way they do, and Claude 101 gets you comfortable actually using the tool, so together they stop you from memorizing steps you do not understand.
Go deeper on Claude Code and Cowork
Claude Code has its own 101 plus a workflow-integration course, and Cowork has a dedicated task-based track.
Once the basics land, the tool-specific tracks open up. There is a Claude Code 101, and beyond it a course on integrating Claude into your development workflow, which is where it stops being a novelty and becomes part of how you ship.
Cowork has not been out long, but there is a dedicated course for it. If you want to move from prompting toward task-based automation, that is the one to take, because it teaches you how to hand off recurring work rather than asking for it each time.
MCP, agents, and skills
Model Context Protocol, agent skills, and sub-agents each have their own courses for building real integrations.
The more advanced material is where a lot of the leverage lives. MCP, the Model Context Protocol, underpins a huge amount of what you can build into applications and integrations, so understanding it is important, and there is both an introductory and a more advanced MCP course.
Agent skills is the one I want to go deeper on myself, since I built a skill recently and want to dig into putting requirements in markdown and how the whole thing works. There are also courses on agents and sub-agents, plus the API and building applications directly against Claude.
